Send me video and I can know for sure then, the lsd will make this noise if it is 1.5way locked, because its just for Drag/ drifting only, the gearbox and lsd is very expensive now, so I can give you another gearbox with normal lsd from revision 3 turbo which i have tested, so soon as you return the gearbox to me asap I will either give you full refund or another gearbox with stock rev3 lsd, you decide, I am sorry the gearbox turned out this way, but it is a drag/drift lsd with a very low mileage gearbox which is worth £600 to £700.
Now the oil you have to use for a drag/drift lsd is not from toyota, it has to be very thick like treacle, its special oil to reduce friction when the gearbox is doing drifting, I am an engineer for 14 years in bvuilding performance engines for ford, vauxhall and toyota.
You can check the lsd if you want and might be able to adjust the lsd to reduce noise, I don't know if the lsd is disc, plate or shims, so maybe its adjustable.
